Why OutAdvisor?

OutAdvisor is the premiere reviews and ratings site for the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered communities. What makes us different? We've taken care to include only establishments that are either gay/lesbian/bisexaul/transgendered-owned or run, or that are known to be especially gay-friendly.

OutAdvisor is owned and run by members of our community, our reviews and ratings come from our community, and our site is here for our community in more ways than one.

In addition to providing this service free to the community, we also contribute 10% of our profits to gay/lesbian/bisexaul/transgendered charities and non-profit organizations within our community. For 2008, we plan to donate to the following community organizations: Food & Friends, Whitman-Walker Clinic, The Point Foundation, and GLAAD.

When you use OutAdvisor, we all benefit. Please register and join us today!

Believe it or not, there is a perfectly logical reason for the name. But first, how do you pronounce the name if you do not speak Spanish! Well, it goes something like this "Ooona eee Dos!"

When we first arrived in Ibiza, we were lucky enough to end up managing a beach bar for a local company. All the kitchen staff only spoke Spanish, so we had to learn fast! And therein lies the reason for the name.

Una is Spanish for the number 1. So when we were first introduced to the existing staff, there wa amazement and confusion that someone would be called 1, they they assumed that Mitch must be 2 (Dos)! From that moment on, we became known as 1 y Dos (One and Two).
